Lady Bug Layers

I used an image from the sponsor, My Graffico.

My Graffico supplies the DT with beautiful images...

I just got a  new pack of paper from SU!'s Christmas Catalog. I used layer upon layer of papers, in the circles and the bug. The layered circle "flower" is from a tutorial here. Thanks Desire!

The background is also double layers of paper. Besides the paper I used Gems from Hobby Lobby, and ribbon from CTMH.

The "cute as a bug" stamp is from "A Bug's Life" by Crafty Secrets. I chalked the background like I usually do...with chalks and a cloud stencil from CTMH.

So layer it up, and enter the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge...you could win!

Hugs,

Good Ol' Black 'n White

So, any black and white card you are working on will do!

I used a beautiful set of stamps from Flourishes. The background is an old CTMH stamp I had...still on wood. I used paper piecing to add depth.

The ribboon is from Walmart. I love to use a bit of fabric glue to adhere the ribbon at spots, enabling the ribbon to ripple.
Here is a closeuup so you can see how I stamped the pears and then the background. I could have stamped the background first, but either way works. I used my Prismacolor marker set in warm greys to shade the image. Just a little Stickles in the flower's centers.

Here is where I entered this card...
1.  A Gem of a Challenge - Paper piecing
2.  Crazy 4 Challenges - Put a Bow on It
3.  Ladybug Crafts - Monochome/Tonal
5.  Moving Along with the Times -Let's go Dotty

I hope you enjoy the challenge. I love black and white!

Happy Birthday to me!

Come and Get It Challenge for this week is "More than One Fold".  If you are working on a fancy fold card, why not enter it?
You could win...

I used an image from our sponsor, Bugaboo. The frames are from the card club I attend...don't know what company makes them though...

Used Prisamcolor Pencils, chalk with a cloud stencil, Stickles by Ranger, and silver eyelets by SU!. The paper is by My Time Made Easy (digital). The silver ribbon is from Hobby Lobby.

Living in Florida, I thought this image was so fitting...except right now it's 42 degrees! Santa would need a sweater.

So be sure to join in Come and Get It's challenge.  Any card with more than one fold will do!

Hey! It's my birthday!
Happy Birthday to me!

Gaudy Baubles

Years ago I remember Martha calling vintage glass ornaments, "Gaudy Balls". These remind me of those:

My Time Made Easy generously supplied me with the digis to make my card, since I am privileged to be on the Pretty Patterns Design Team for MTME!

Here is the sketch from MTME for you to use:

And here's my card:

I printed the sentiment directly on the background, and used a matching patterned paper to make tiny slivers of paper behind the ornaments.

I then printed the ornaments on white cs and colored them with Prismacolor Pencils and mineral spirits. They are strung with waxed flax. I attached three gems from Hobby Lobby, and ribbon from there, too. the cardstock is CTMH. I used Ranger Stickles to make the ornaments gaudy.
Hope you like it.

I am entering this card in some challenges:
1.  Crimbo Crackers -Christmas anything goes
2. Aud Sentiments - Bingo (I used first vertical row)
3.  Crafty Creations Challenge - Christmas is Coming
4. Creative Moments Blog - Anything Goes
5.  House that Stamps Built - Non-traditionals Christmas Colors

Get on over to My Time Made Easy. More than Pretty Pattern Challenges, there are also color challenges, and awesome printables and packaging downloads to cut by hand or machine.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Merry Mail

Digital Delights is more than just cute characters! I made this card with their digital paper, backgrounds, and stamps! Here they are:
Totally Tartan Digital Paper pack

Winter wonderland background set

A touch of christmas sentiments set

Christmas Mailbox

The cardstock, CTMH, was folded. I attached a piece of Totally Tartan Paper which I printed on plain paper, to the card. I then attached the background that I printed on white cs (it comes in four colors!).
I added a star brad from Hobby Lobby as a tree topper.

The mailbox is colored with Prismacolor Pencils and mineral spirits. I cut it out and put the year on the mailbox.

The sentiment was printed on white cs and I drew some lines to make it into an envelope. It's shaded with Prismacolor Marker. I backed it with a black cs mat, and dimensionals.

I used glitter brads from my stash, and Stickles by Ranger in silver and white to finish the card.

Challenges I am entering with this card:

A really fun card to make and will be to give as well!
Thanks Wendy at Digital Delights!

Have fun shopping at DD, and
Happy Thanksgiving!

Top of My List

So glad my husband is doing better. He had back surgery almost 10 weeks ago. It was difficult to come home and always find him sitting on the couch. He is the type of guy that never stops. Now when I come home he might not even be there! He's doing things, like taking the car for an oil change. He is going to try golf tomorrow!

Having him is the first thing on my Christmas list.

Digital Delights is the maker of these wonderful, meaningful digital stamps.
A touch of christmas sentiments set

Candy Cane accessories set

I printed the sentiment larger than the image, to accentuate how important George is to me. I chalked a heart by making a stencil out of copy paper. I outlined it in Stickles.

The packages are colored with Prismacolor markers. The lacy die cut is from my Card Club I attend. I don't know who made it.

I used Totally Tartan paper from DD.
