Thanks for Noticing...

My husband is Eeyore...in the body of a man. I even bought him a little Eeyore for his nightstand. So, when I needed to make a Disney project for Red Carpet Studio's Challenge, this is what I came up with:

Red Carpet Studio's Challenge details are:

I used the sketch from Come and Get It's Challenge:

I got this image from Free Disney Coloring pages. The sentiment and weed stamps are by See D's.
I used some CTMH card stock and ribbon, which I have had for YEARS. The image is colored with Prismacolor markers, and the clouds were made with my CTMH cloud stencil and chalks. The black gems are from Hobby Lobby. The Stickles on the weeds are by Ranger.

I am entering this card in some challenges:
digi designs - animals acting like people
craft us crazy -Halloween/Anything goes
divas by design - fairies and fantasy
inky impressions - animals
the paper shelter - anything goes
simon says - anything goes
whimsy stamps - anything goes

Hope you have a fabulous time with the Red Carpet Studios and Come and Get It challenges,

...Bev

Here's the layout:
MTMEPPS72

I used a digital image from the Sweet Treats digital stamp set.
Sweet Treats © 21 Images - Digital
The sentiment is from the Sweet Sentiments set.
Sweet Sentiments © 24 Images - Digital
I used some beautiful old CTMH cs to build this card. The Sunflower band is also CTMH. The patterned paper is from Colorbox, at Walmart. I used Prismacolor Pencils to color the image, and smattered it with some Stickles by Ranger. I used CTMH ribbon, and wire by Darice to make the curls of steam. I used my singer to sew, sew,  sew...

I am entering this card in some challenges...

Tuesday Throwdown Autumn Colors Challenge

I love acorns...and this digital image is from My Graffico, for my DT sample for the
Tuesday Throwdown Challenge! Get out your "Fall Colors".

Our sponsor is:

I printed 3 digi acorns in a row and then printed them on designer paper, which is actually old B&T paper from CTMH. (Does anyone know if they even call it that anymore?)
I then paper pieced my acorns. I used tiny gems on the acorns, and sewed with my Singer. The CS is CTMH also.

I used my Vagabond and an embossing folder by Darice for the background. The eyelets are from my stash, and the ribbon is CTMH also. (Does anyone know if they still sell this? I am almost out!)

I am entering this in some challenges:
papermakeupstamps - anything goes 10/2
kaboodle doodles - stitching 10/2
love to create - anything goes 10/2

Enjoy the beautiful Autumn weather...it's finally getting cooler here, and the humidity has broken...

Sweet Tweets

How do you like my vintage tin? I got this tin at a yard sale when I was able to fill a bag for $1!
I re-purposed this tin as my sample for the
Come And Get It Challenge this week...Anything but a Card.

Wow I LOVE Fred She Said! Adorable images! Amazing and creative ideas for projects of all kinds...I had so much fun with this digital stamp set.

I printed the images on white card stock, then colored them with Prismacolor markers. the background is done in chalks with my old favorite cloud stencil from CTMH.
The blue designer paper is also by them.

I used some Mod Podge to adhere the papers to the tin...making the wrinkles is easy...just smooth down the bubbling paper after it is dry to the touch. Then, I distressed with Distress Ink by Ranger, and gave it another coat of MP...the word, "tweets" is hand drawn by me!

I am entering the following challenges with this tin...
2 Sisters Challenge Blog - Things with Wings 9/30
Craftymess - Distressed, Aged 10/8

A Cute "Hottie"

The Red Carpet Studios card challenge this week has a SCI-FI theme...actually I think my card is more fantasy than sci-fi, but whatever...here it is in all it's cuteness!

I love the RCS challenges! Every other week is a layout then a card challenge. And the ideas are so thought provoking...try them out...really fun!

Our sponsor this week is, Stamp N Doodle

The randomly chosen winner of this challenge will receive 2 digital images!

Now back to my card...

I used this adorable Bugaboo image. Perfect for a birthday, boy or girl! The sentiment is from Kitten Cuties by Crafty Secrets.

I colored my dragon with Prismacolor markers, and used the "out of the box" technique. I love black (in case you haven't noticed on all my blog entries!) so a tiny frame around the box accentuates my focal point. I used CTMH cs and paper, and a Martha Stewart punch on the black corners. Glittery brads from my stash, and hand drawn stitching embellish this layout, along with ribbon from Walmart, and Stickles from Hero Arts.

I am entering this card in some challenges...
2 Sisters Challenge Blog - Things with Wings 9/30
Challenge Up Your Life-  Fantasy 9/29
Send a Smile 4 Kids - Anything Goes for Kids 10/6
The Crafter's Cafe - Stitching real or faux 10/1

Well, Happy Fall it All, and get over to Red Carpet Studios to join in the fun with your aliens, dragons, monsters, and other spacey stamp images...have fun,

Bev

This looks like an amazing place to live"very well" indeed!

Digital Delights is having a Fall Sale...20% off a purchase of $10 or more! This pumpkin house is one of Wendy's newest images...and it's about time we recognized a house other than gingerbread...
why not pumpkin I ask you!
Halloween House accessories set

Happy Halloween Sentiment by Digital Delights as well...

Happy Halloween Sentiment

I used Prismacolor Pencils to color this house. Doesn't the purple make it look spooky?

Oh! And another question...When did purple become a Halloween color? I mean I am glad to have it along with  O&B, just not sure when or how it came to be...think I'll research that...

The background paper is from Colorbox. the gems are from Hobby Lobby, and the purple, orange  and gold papers are CTMH. I got the eyelets at Home Goods, believe it or not...love that store...you never know what you will find there...

CTMH ribbon, Stickles by Ranger, star stencil from an old Martha mag...and chalks by SU!.

That's it.

What is Steam Punk?

In a few weeks I have to do a Steam Punk card. I have seen Tim Holtz' stuff, and I love it all, but when it comes right down to, I don't get it...so I looked it up!

According to G. D. Falksen, on his site, Keys on the Typewriter, Steam Punk can be defined in three words: Victorian Science Fiction.  Great! That brings to mind that old movie, The Time Machine by H.G. Wells. I love that movie! I am not a reader, so even though I realize it was a book first, I don't care...the movie is what I remember.

Falksen goes on to say...People looking for fashion ideas, character inspirations or scenes to describe can find a wealth of starting points in the countless vintage photographs and film reels left over from the 19th century.

Now I get it!  Think Victorian Era, and then let your imagination go wild!  You know, create something, only use things from that era to make it. Gears are the most recognizable item when it comes to SP...and if you are in the stamping world, you know you've seen them, among other things.

Now making my card will be interesting and fun. However, first things first. I need to make my card kits for the upcoming Shoe Box Round Table that I am attending in a couple of weeks...

Stay tuned for my Steam Punk card in awhile..in the meantime check out the site,
