Autumn's Early Arrival

And it's an Autumnal theme...my favorite season.
 I was born on Thanksgiving!

I know, it's not Autumn yet, but I needed to feel like it has, because here in Florida, it's hard to tell when the seasons change. The kids are in school, and I remember in Connecticut, when I was a kid, when school started, the weather snapped to attention. It immediately got cooler. Summer was over.


The image is one of Lindsay's hand-drawn digital images at LEJ Designs. I colored it with Prismacolor Pencils and used Mineral Spirits to blend the colors. The background is chalked using an old cloud stencil from CTMH. The leaves are cut from copper metallic paper from my stash.



I used gold embossing powder on the edge of the white circle. The copper eyelets are from SU.


I used a Martha Stewart punch to make the border, and the pennant with the sentiment is handmade. I found the quote online, and created it with my work processing program. I rippled it to give dimension, and used Distress Ink in Walnut Ink to distress it. The background paper is from Micheal's 5 for $1, and has roosters on it...it's hard to see, I know. The gingham is old CTMH paper I have had for years. I used a corner rounder on two corners, and the ribbon is from Offray's outlet when I traveled there many years ago. All this is mounted on a kraft card.
