Pretty In Pink

The stamping world has evolved continually since my first stamped image way back in the 80's. So many companies now offer printed papers with images to use, as well as color digital images.

This is my first card made with a printed image. I usually stamp a picture, and there is a stamped image on this card...it's just not the biggest image on the page.

I used a sheet of 5 for $1 paper from Micheal's. It was divided into several card-sized designs. I used one of them with florals in the corner and a trellis design. I cut around some of the florals and added a piece of Carnation Pink cs from my CTMH "vintage" stash, which I dry embossed making a board design like the inspiration images I used, contained. The lace band is made with a Martha Stewart punch, in pink parchment paper by CTMH. The craft card is also CTMH.

The fairy image, as well as the column and the sentiment, are from Crafty Secrets. I used 3 different sets: Hardware, Fairy Wishes, and Card Sentiments.

The button stamp is from SeeDee's.

The eyelet is SU!'s copper from a metal asst.

The ribbon is "vintage" Pink Carnation from CTMH. As almost always, I melted it with my heat tool. I made the heart myself! It's a piece of shrink plastic, embossed with SU!'s Iridescent Ice embossing powder, then covered in glitter.

The flower is made with my Vagabond and Tattered Florals Die by Tim Holtz. The leaves are made from petals of one of the flowers on the die, too. The tag is also made with a Sizzlet. The gem in the flower and the 3 on the column are from Walmart.

I am entering this card in several challenges:

The Shabby Tea Room - photo inspiration, using white or cream, plus pink, craft and lace.

The Ribbon Reel - photo inspiration, using a heart, sparkle and lace or ribbon.

VO Stamps - buttons and ribbon

Whoopsie Daisy - make your own embellishment

Pinspirational challenge - fairy inspirational image
