A Weekend Outing Turned Up this Treasure

Wow...all this for ten dollars! A Cardew Tea Set! So cute, and I am into cute. I spent the morning on Sunday with a friend at a local craft and antique show. It was a beautiful day, outdoors in the sunshine.

A Beautiful Reno Pt. 2

If only there were a thing called, "Smelloblogger" you would be able to smell the overwhelming odor of smoke. I don't know if you can see the ceiling stains, but everything was coated with a yellow resin.

The carpeting is supposed to be blue, and the kitchen floor and entryway had vinyl on the floor. I don't know how many times I hit my head on the diningroom chandelier. Notice the small counter in the kitchen "window".
Here, you can see out lovely pecan flooring, which covers every inch except the bathrooms and lanai, which we got tiled. The entryway lamp and the cabinets are in progress.

Here is the finished product...new lights in the kitchen and everywhere, rug from o.co, furniture from Rooms to Go, and a new front door from Lowes (where else?) The small counter in the kitchen "window" has been replaced with a marble sill, and the walls are all white. All of them. We will eventually paint some accent walls.

A New Do

Not sure I like it, but it always grows back...

Let's Begin Again...

Blog #2...where I will begin again. It has been more than 3 years since my last post (sounds like a confession...guess it is!) To see my old posts, visit Mark It With B.

I am stamping again. I have put it off while welcoming new grandbabies, moving twice and redoing a whole house (I have pictures...).

A Beautiful Renovation

Moving, even across the road, is a job.  Add to it completely re-doing the house, inside and out, and you have a HUGE undertaking! If it wasn't for my wonderful husband George, the whole house would still be in boxes.

So here we go...this is the kitchen before: wallpaper, vinyl flooring, broken drawers, and white, stained countertops.
